Each week at Hey Beautiful Mama we share feature articles from women around the word Written by moms, for moms. Here mothers share what they're learning and experiencing in life. Bringing you actionable steps to take in your life. Divulging life changing lessons and transformational testimonies.
Hey Beautiful Mama, So many women will hold themselves to unreachable, unattainable standards. Do you? Many Christian women use the Proverbs 31 woman as an example of exceptional faithful womanhood and will set becoming such a woman as a goal.
Hey Mompreneurs, If you're anything like me, you have been working away to build your business and put together offers and the skills and strategies you have learned and can now share. We're entering this incredible time where bits of paper aren't worth as much as real-life experience. People want results, and they want them now.
There are many types of missions, but today, we don't mean the type you go on overseas unless that is your God-given journey. I am talking about your family mission (your family's overall goal). This could be for the year or life-long. It could be subject to change as you all grow and God guides you on your paths.
I wrote the following article while waiting to deliver and officially miscarry my first experience of pregnancy loss. As I have now come through to the other side of grief to healing, I felt I should share this with anyone who is in the depths of the valley, waiting and in need of strength, comfort, and peace.
There are many articles, books, and media about 'what to expect when you're expecting', but we are sorely lacking in the area of pregnancy loss and what to expect during that loss. So here I will attempt to outline a few of the things you may or may not experience as you move through this season of loss.
Does my child need speech therapy? This is a question many parents dread asking themselves when they begin to realize something may not be right with their child's speech. It can be a tough question to answer, given that we are the ones who have spent the most time with our children and have worked out their nuanced ways of communicating.
Believe it or not, the terrible twos are actually the terrible ones, twos, threes, and even beyond if you let them be. That’s right, you heard right if you let them be. The best way to describe a tantrum, I believe, is a lack of self-control, self-regulation, and resilience.
Everyone is always quick to offer advice and their little two cents worth when it comes to kids and raising them. Even people without kids have an opinion, and I should know I was one of them. Like most parents, I look back on those misinformed days and smile, cringing at what I thought, said, and told parents.
They say that an artist's work is best when he or she is in turmoil. Hardship makes for great, thought-provoking art, but I try to look at it from the artist's perspective. Artistic expression gives way to healing and allows us to connect with others in a way that our words alone, in person, may not.
