Monique C. Baisden
A few years ago, I had a dream in which I saw a multicultural, multiethnic group of people sitting on the floor of this large ballroom. They were quiet, motionless, and simply waiting. I walked around them, and they stayed silent and kept waiting. I looked at them intently, and they kept looking forward, motionless, and still…waiting. They never moved, talked, or even blinked.
They simply waited. I couldn't understand it, but somehow, these people looked as if they were waiting for someone to give them directions and tell them what to do. When I woke up, I asked God: "What was the meaning of that dream?" God told me, "Those are the people who are waiting on you to do what I've called you to do." I was surprised, humbled, and motivated all at once. It caused me to immediately repent, make some changes, and ask God to show me what I needed to do first.
This taught me a very valuable lesson: There are people who are connected to my calling, my destiny, and my purpose who were waiting on me to shake off my fear and insecurities and to stop doubting
and self-sabotaging myself so that I could go forth and be all of whom God has called me to be for these people who have a need of the skillsets, gifts, and talents that God put inside me. This also taught me that I was already equipped and already ready. I just needed to be obedient and take the first step that God had already instructed me to take.
Here's some "Food for Thought" to consider:
You're not seeing this message by mistake. This is the sign or confirmation you've been waiting on. Do what God told you to do. No matter how crazy you look. No matter how much you are misunderstood or misjudged by some people. No matter how much or how little information you currently have from God. Obey God.
It's more important to please Him than it is to please people. There are people who are connected to your calling/purpose who are waiting for you to say yes to what God has called you to do. Often, when we have a calling or assignment from God, we want God to give us EVERYTHING all at once: Who is this for? Who are you going to send to help me? Where will I get the money I need? Will I have ENOUGH money for what you are calling me to do? We want to know EVERYTHING that God knows, but we're not God, and if we knew what God knew, we wouldn't need God….and we wouldn't need faith in God. So God gives us one step at a time, because that's all we can handle is one step at a time. Too much too soon would overwhelm us and make us want to quit on our God assignment or vision. Additionally, some of us are waiting for the "perfect time" to start.
Procrastination will keep you stuck and stagnant. Start with what you have. Start with what God has already shown you/lined out for you. The time is now. You don't have to have everything figured out to the finest detail to start. For many of you, there are people who have a need of what you have to offer...NOW. Once you start and take the first step, God can show you the additional steps to take. Just start!
It's time to stop denying what God has called you to do. Your obedience is directly connected to the deliverance of the people to whom you are called. The world needs you. The world needs your gifts. The world needs your talents. The world needs your voice. The world needs those things that God has put in you that you've been sitting on. The world needs your business. The world needs your ministry. The world needs you…period!
God has already equipped you. He's given you the blueprint. People who are called to you are looking for you. Now is the time to come out of hiding and do what God is telling you to do. It's time to LEAP!

"This book has been one of the BEST books I’ve read all year. Ella’s knowledge of Biblical Motherhood has convicted me to be a mother built on Biblical truth, not worldly lies. I’ve taken her wisdom and applied it to my every day life and have noticeably seen the difference in my life, but also my children’s and husbands life. This book has been a blessing to my family and I will recommend it to every mother I know." - Alysa
